1. Project Plant A Tree
Since 2014, 3,620 saplings have been planted and carefully monitored across various locations in Bangalore city, including footpaths, main road dividers, schools, colleges, and a few northern districts of Karnataka. These efforts aim to enhance the green cover, improve air quality, and contribute to environmental conservation. The initiative also focuses on creating awareness about the importance of tree plantation among the local communities and students. Regular monitoring ensures the survival and healthy growth of the saplings, thereby fostering a sustainable and eco-friendly environment for future generations.
2. Solar powered Street Lights (2023)
In collaboration with Shell, over 40,000 villagers across 14 villages benefited from the installation of 200 solar-powered streetlights in BK Halli and Marenhalli Panchayat locations. This initiative aimed to provide sustainable and reliable lighting solutions, improving safety and quality of life in these rural communities. Selected members of the villages were trained to monitor and maintain the working mechanisms of the solar-powered streetlights, ensuring their longevity and effectiveness. This project not only addressed energy needs but also empowered the community by fostering local ownership and responsibility for the infrastructure.
